Mitt Romney on 2016 run: ‘Circumstances can change’
Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, said Tuesday that “circumstances can change” when asked about another presidential run.
{mosads}”Someone else has a better chance than I do,” Romney said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.” “And that’s what we believe, and that’s why I’m not running. And you know, circumstances can change, but I’m just not going to let my head go there.”
Romney later added: “Let’s say all the guys that were running all came together and said ‘Hey, we’ve decided we can’t do it, you must do it.’ That’s the one in a million we’re thinking about.”
Romney has repeatedly said he is not running again. In January, he said the word “no” eleven times in a row when The New York Times asked if he would consider another run.
He has been active this year, though, in campaigning for Republican Senate candidates.
