Trump: Sanders ‘weak’ for letting Black Lives Matter shut down rally
Donald Trump slammed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) as “weak” for allowing Black Lives Matter protesters to storm the stage at an event in Seattle on Saturday and seize control of the microphone.
{mosads}”I would never give up my microphone, I thought that was disgusting,” Trump told reporters at a press conference in Michigan on Tuesday night. “That showed such weakness, the way he was taken away by two young women. They just took the whole place over!”
Sanders was due to speak to a crowd of thousands at Westlake Park on Saturday afternoon but was interrupted by protesters affiliated with the Black Lives Matter movement shortly after taking the stage.
He eventually left without saying a word to his supporters.
“That will never happen with me,” Trump exclaimed, also suggesting he would get into a physical altercation with the protesters in order to prevent a similar disruption.
“I don’t know if I’ll do the fighting myself, or if other people will, but that was a disgrace,” Trump added. “I felt badly for him, but it showed that he’s weak.”
Did Trump just threaten to physically fight #BlackLivesMatter protesters?
