Bentivolio loses campaign manager
Rep. Kerry Bentivolio’s (R-Mich.) campaign manager has quit in the latest setback for his campaign.
{mosads}Bentivolio campaign manager David Wolkinson has resigned, according to Bentivolio spokesman Matt Chisholm, who said the campaign will “make an announcement regarding campaign leadership in the coming days.”
The departure of Wolkinson, a former policy adviser to Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R), is the latest staff problem for Bentivolio. His 2012 campaign manager is currently suing him for what he says is more than $100,000 in unpaid salary.
Bentivolio won his seat in Congress last cycle after former Rep. Thad McCotter (R-Mich.) failed to qualify for the primary, leaving him as the only Republican on the ballot. He’s facing a well-funded challenger, businessman Dave Trott (R), who has the backing of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
