Jeb Bush: Wife ‘supportive’ of 2016 bid
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Tuesday said his wife, Columba, is “supportive” of a potential presidential campaign.
“But that doesn’t mean that I don’t understand the challenges that this brings,” Bush told The Associated Press in an interview. “This is ultimately my decision with as much consideration as I can to take into account the people that I really love.”
{mosads}Bush made the remarks as he campaigned for son, George P. Bush, who is running for land commissioner in Texas.
Bush has said he’ll make a decision about a 2016 run by the end of the year after consulting with his family.
“I don’t want to do anything that would make it harder for George to be successful in his pursuits, for sure,” he reiterated to the AP on his son’s campaign bus.
