Report: Police probing Trump swastikas in Ga.
Law enforcement officials in Georgia are investigating multiple swastikas also featuring an image of Donald Trump, a new report says.
At least two of the Nazi symbols were reported in the Atlanta area early Wednesday, according to Fox News’s local affiliate.
{mosads}Each swastika boasts an illustration of the GOP presidential front-runner at its center, the news outlet reported.
Trump is depicted wearing the same moustache style associated with Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, it added.
Fox News Atlanta said police were tearing down one of the offensive images Wednesday morning. They are now conducting an investigation into who created the pair of symbols.
One of the signs appeared near Piedmont Road in Buckhead, it added, while another was sighted along the Buford Highway Connector.
The appearance of both swastikas follows Trump’s call for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S. late last Monday. He sparked global backlash by suggesting the measure is necessary for preventing radical Islamist terrorism.
The outspoken billionaire rejected comparisons with Hitler early Tuesday after The Philadelphia Daily News linked him with the Nazi Leader.
“No,” he said when asked on ABC’s “Good Morning America” if such comparisons bother him.
Trump also mocked The Philadelphia Daily News as “another newspaper going out of business” during a separate appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”
The publication’s cover early Tuesday depicts Trump with his right hand outstretched, similar to a Nazi salute, over text that reads “The New Furor.”
Trump’s proposal on Muslims has drawn widespread condemnation from both political parties.
Critics say the measure is both impractical and unconstitutional. Others add the proposal may fuel future jihadism.
