Trump: Former Mexican president should apologize for ‘f—ing wall’ remark
Donald Trump on Thursday night called on a former Mexican president to apologize for saying his country wouldn’t pay for a “f—ing” border wall.
“If I would have used even half of that word, it would have been national scandal,” the Republican presidential front-runner said at CNN’s GOP debate in Houston, just five days ahead of Super Tuesday.
{mosads}”This guy used a filthy, disgusting word on television and he should be ashamed of himself and he should apologized.”
Trump’s statements came in response to former Mexican President Vicente Fox, who earlier Thursday said his nation will not pay for Trump’s proposed border wall.
“I declare — I’m not going to pay for that f—ing wall,” Fox said during an interview. “[Trump] should pay for it. He’s got the money.”
“I will [make them pay for the wall] and the wall just got 10 feet taller, believe me,” the real estate mogul said during the debate.
Trump has made calling for Mexico to pay for a border wall part of his stump speech. He says the wall will cost up to $12 billion and will be 1,000 miles long.
“It’s a small portion of the kind of money we lose and deficits we have with Mexico,” Trump said.
