Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus on Sunday responded to claims that Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, manhandled a protester at a rally Saturday.
{mosads}”Violence isn’t the answer; getting involved isn’t the answer,” Priebus said on CNN. “I think you leave these things up to the professionals.”
A video released Saturday from a Trump rally in Tucson, Ariz., appears to show Lewandowski yanking a protester’s shirt collar.
In a statement, the Trump campaign denied the incident, saying it was the man to Lewandowski’s left who pulled the protester back.
Lewandowski reportedly grabbed the arm of former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields during a press conference earlier this week and yanked her down.
The GOP front-runner’s campaign called that accusation “entirely false.”
