Poll: Clinton up 15 points over Sanders in Maryland

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton has a 15-point lead over rival Bernie Sanders in Maryland, according to a new Washington Post/University of Maryland poll.

Clinton has 55 percent support among likely Democratic voters. Sanders follows with 40 percent.

{mosads}Clinton is ahead of the Vermont senator among black voters, 66 to 33 percent, and among women, 60 to 35 percent. She also leads among moderate and conservative Democrats and voters older than 50.

Sanders, meanwhile, has the edge with voters under 40.

The poll also found that Clinton has a large lead over Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump in a head-to-head match-up.

The poll, conducted from March 30 to April 3,  has a margin of error of 5.5 percent.

In a Baltimore Sun and University of Baltimore poll conducted early last month, Clinton had a much larger, 33-point lead over Sanders.

The Maryland Democratic primary will be held April 26.
