Dems slam Trump over taco bowl tweet

A pair of Democratic senators on Thursday mocked Donald Trump after he posted a photo of himself eating a taco bowl with a caption reading in part, “I love Hispanics!”

“This is a joke, right? This WHOLE THING is a joke, right?” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), with a link to Trump’s tweet.

{mosads}Trump, the GOP’s presumptive presidential nominee, shared a photo of himself eating the taco salad Thursday in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), who like Murphy has endorsed Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, fired back that Trump has “not a clue.”

“Please Lord tell me what this man believes in … other than himself. Trump all over the map, changing positions even within one day,” she added.

Democratic senators, most of whom are supporting Clinton, haven’t shied away from criticizing Trump — particurarly on immigration — through out the primary season.

Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) separately took a swing at Trump, calling him an “anti-woman, anti-Hispanic, anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant billionaire.”
