Obama: ‘No successful businessman’ thinks Trump is nation’s best

President Obama says Donald Trump is nowhere near as well-respected in the business community as he likes to claim.

{mosads}During an interview with Bloomberg News published Thursday, Obama was asked whether Trump’s criticism of his economic and trade policy bothered him, considering that the presumptive GOP presidential nominee considers himself the most successful businessman in the U.S.

“Well, I — there’s no successful businessman in America who actually thinks the most successful businessman in the country is Donald Trump,” Obama responded.

“I know those guys, and so do you, and I guarantee you, that’s not their view.”

Obama has taken Trump to task repeatedly since his presidential campaign began, building the case that the businessman is unfit for the White House. The president endorsed Hillary Clinton earlier this month and is expected to take a major role in campaigning for her.
