Former KKK leader David Duke praises Trump’s immigration speech

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke praised Donald Trump’s highly anticipated immigration speech late Wednesday night, tweeting throughout the Republican presidential nominee’s address.

Excellent speech by Donald Trump tonight. Deport criminal aliens, end catch and release, enforce immigration laws & America First.

{mosads}Trump’s hard-line immigration stance was cemented during his speech, as he doubled down on his views of deporting illegal immigrants and ensuring that Mexico pays for his proposed border wall. 

Trump has faced heavy criticism for the support he has received from white nationalists such as Duke.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton last week accused Trump of having “many of the same values” as the former KKK leader.
