Trump takes credit for feds’ deportation plan
Donald Trump is taking credit for the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) plans to deport hundreds of illegal immigrants from the country next year.
“Wow, because of the pressure put on by me, ICE TO LAUNCH LARGE SCALE DEPORTATION RAIDS. It’s about time!” the Republican presidential front-runner wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

{mosads}Reports emerged earlier Thursday that DHS is expecting to conduct a series of raids early next year, in the first large-scale deportation attempt since tens of thousands fled violence in Central America.
Trump has made his stance on illegal immigration central to his White House bid, starting with his campaign launch in June.
“They’re sending people who have a lot of problems,” Trump said of illegal immigration at the time. “They bring in drugs, they bring in crime, they’re rapists. I assume some are good people.”
