Trump to release physical on Dr. Oz show: report
GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump plans to announce the results of his physical this week on “The Dr. Oz Show,” Fox News is reporting.
{mosads}Trump, whose appearance on the program was announced last week, will reveal his physical on the show Thursday, according to Fox News correspondent John Roberts.
A spokesperson for Trump did not immediately return an inquiry about the Thursday appearance.
Trump announced on “Fox and Friends” that he took a physical last week and would reveal the results of it sometime this week.
“I did pretty much the whole deal, because I think we should, I think we should do that,” Trump added on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Trump predicted his physical would show “large numbers” and “hopefully very good statistics.”
“I feel very confident, otherwise I probably wouldn’t be telling you I did this, right?” Trump asked.
Trump is releasing the physical days after his Democratic presidential rival, Hillary Clinton, stumbled toward a van Sunday while leaving a 9/11 memorial early.
Clinton’s campaign later said she has been battling pneumonia, which she was diagnosed with on Friday. Her campaign canceled a fundraising swing through California early this week.
“The Dr. Oz Show” said last week that Trump would reveal his personal health regimen during his appearance on the show Thursday.
The show’s host, Mehmet Oz, has been criticized for pushing medical practices and medicines.
Lawmakers from both parties criticized Oz during a hearing on Capitol Hill in 2014 for endorsing certain chemicals for weight loss.
