Trump, Clinton urge caution ahead of Hurricane Matthew
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are urging caution ahead of Hurricane Matthew’s anticipated U.S. landfall.
“Hurricane #Matthew is a major storm. I urge everyone to follow emergency instructions and evacuate if you’re told to. Stay safe Florida,” Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, tweeted on Thursday.
The Republican nominee expressed a similar sentiment.
“Praying for everyone in Florida. Hoping the hurricane dissipates, but in any event, please be careful,” Trump tweeted.

{mosads}The storm is expected to reach Florida as soon as Thursday evening.
It could hit coastal areas of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina by the weekend.
The National Hurricane Center is warning of “life-threatening” floods in parts of Florida’s east coast.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) urged residents to evacuate and warned the impact of the storm would be “catastrophic.”
“Do not surf. Do not go on the beach. This will kill you,” Scott said at a press conference Thursday, according to NBC News.
He urged Americans living in the path of Hurricane Matthew to obey evacuation orders, saying that the storm could have a “devastating effect” on the southeastern United States.
“This is a serious storm,” Obama said.
