Farage spotted at Trump Tower

Former United Kingdom Independence Party leader Nigel Farage was spotted entering Trump Tower on Saturday for a meeting with the president-elect.

Farage, who was accompanied by an unidentified person, appeared initially coy when asked if he was invited there by Donald Trump or if he was helping with the transition efforts.

“We’re just tourists,” he responded, according to pool reports.

{mosads}Speaking to reporters later on Saturday, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said that the president-elect and Farage had a “very productive” meeting.

“I think they enjoy each other’s company, and they absolutely had an opportunity to talk about freedom and winning and what this all means for the world,” she said.

The Brexit leader was present at the Trump victory party the morning after Election Day and was praised by the president-elect in remarks to his staffers.

Farage has said that he would welcome a role in the Trump administration and floated the idea of being Trump’s ambassador to the European Union.

Farage tweeted following his meeting, saying it was a “great honour to spend time” with the president-elect. Farage said Trump “was relaxed and full of good ideas. I’m confident he will be a good President.”
