Biden praises Parkland students fighting for gun reform: ‘They’re going to win’

Former Vice President Joe Biden said he’s confident the Parkland students are “going to win” in their fight for gun control.
Biden spoke with MSNBC on Friday, the day before 500,000 people are expected to flood Washington, D.C., for an anti-gun violence march.
“They’re going to win,” Biden said on Friday. “Watch. … We can beat the NRA.”
{mosads} Survivors and family members of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last month have been actively fighting back against the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Biden has consistently pushed for bans on assault weapons and changing the national background check systems.
“We’ll do it again because of these kids,” Biden said.
Biden has been speaking with the parents and family members of the 17 people killed in Parkland.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle have been praising the high school students for pushing for stricter gun control laws and for organizing Saturday’s March for Our Lives.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said the students had done more in five weeks “than has been done in 15 years.”
Biden’s running mate former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama sent the students a handwritten note.
