Scalise asks constituents ‘What’s your ObamaCare story?’

“What’s your Obamacare story? Share with Scalise,” a post on
his congressional website reads.

Scalise, who chairs the Republican Study Committee, wants to
hear how the law’s new insurance exchanges may have
changed people’s health coverage situations.

He’s pushed for a full repeal of the three-year-old law.

“How has your experience been with the ObamaCare website and
call centers? Will your health insurance premiums change?” he asks.

“Will you be able to keep your current plan?  Will you
have to change doctors? Have you received a letter from your insurance company
regarding changes to your plan?”

He then asks for people to input their names, zip codes,
emails, and stories about ObamaCare.

{mosads}The law’s insurance exchanges took effect Oct. 1, and its
website HealthCare.gov has since received heavy blowback because of widespread
technical issues.

President Obama addressed the problems in a Rose Garden
speech Monday, and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said
on CNN Tuesday night that she and the president did not anticipate this level
of dysfunction.

Scalise has already shared a few excerpts from stories
constituents have submitted.

“It cost my husband and I money already and it hasn’t been
fully implemented yet… It has hurt us by raising our premiums $200 a month,” Geneva
from Montegut, La., said.

Dennis from Slidell, La., said, ““My health insurance will go
up $40 a week. I can’t afford that.”

The law’s individual mandate requires Americans who don’t already have insurance to enroll in ObamaCare by the end of March, 2014.
