Bush to appear on Colbert’s first ‘Late Show’
Jeb Bush will be joining George Clooney as one of the first guests on “The Late Show” when Stephen Colbert takes over hosting duties next month.
The former “Colbert Report” host tweeted this week:
.@JebBush will be on #LSSC Sept. 8! My first GOP candidate! Luckily I do 200 shows a year, so I think I can fit them all.

The GOP presidential candidate replied Tuesday:
Only if you have at least two of us on each show. Looking forward to joining your first #LSSC next month! https://t.co/ECjbxV9tYa

Clooney had been announced as the show’s very first guest last week. Kendrick Lamar will be Colbert’s first musical guest for the Sept. 8 program.
CBS named Colbert as David Letterman’s successor on the late-night program back in April. Letterman retired in May following a 22-year run.
