Pelosi to guest-judge ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will be a guest judge on the upcoming season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars.”
Pelosi will join other celebrity judges, including actress Kristin Chenoweth, Tituss Burgess of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and former Spice Girl Emma Bunton on “All Stars,” which begins Jan. 25.
The spin-off drag-queen competition features past contestants from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” competing for a place in the show’s Hall of Fame, and Pelosi will be a judge in its third season.
{mosads}A spokesperson for Pelosi told The Washington Post that the lawmaker agreed to judge the show in solidarity and support for the LGBT community amid anti-LGBT policies being pushed by the Trump administration.
Pelosi later tweeted she “had a fabulous time” on the show.

Under President Trump, the Justice Department has rolled back regulations that protected transgender people from discrimination in the workplace, and the president attempted to block transgender troops from enrolling in the military.
“Drag Race” encourages contestants and viewers to be true to themselves, a message that Pelosi’s spokesperson told the Post she supports. Pelosi is reportedly a fan of the show and said she had a “fabulous” time taping her appearance.
