‘Trump baby’ blimp used in UK protests may be heading to New Jersey

The blimp depicting President Trump as a baby that flew over London during anti-Trump protests last week may be heading to New Jersey.

Didier Jiminez-Castro, an activist from the state, set up a GoFundMe page on Friday with the goal of bringing the 20-foot “Trump baby” blimp to Bedminster, N.J., a city where one of Trump’s golf courses is located.

{mosads}Jiminez-Castro told NJ.com that he worked with People’s Motorcade, a group that frequently holds protests at Trump’s National Golf Club in Bedminster, to launch the GoFundMe page.

As of Monday morning, the crowdfunding campaign had raised more than $6,100, surpassing the original goal of $4,500.

“While watching the news, I made the amazing discovery of Baby Trump blimp at the London protests,” Jiminez-Castro wrote on the page. “I got together with local organizers and we agreed we need to bring Baby Trump to Bedminster where he plays golf on the regular.”

Jiminez-Castro also told NJ.com that he is currently in the process of ordering the blimp. He expects it to arrive by mid-August.

The news comes just days after the “Trump baby” blimp floated over Britain’s Parliament as Trump made his first visit to the country while in office.

His visit coincided with mass protests throughout the United Kingdom. More than 250,000 people turned out to protest in London on Friday.

The balloon was also flown in Scotland’s capital during a protest where 10,000 people marched.
