Trump greets Comey: ‘He’s become more famous than me’

President Donald Trump greeted FBI Director James Comey during a reception for law enforcement at the White House on Sunday afternoon.

During the event, the president singled out Comey, who approached the president, shook his hand and gave him a hug.

“He’s become more famous than me,” the president joked.

{mosads}The president had in the past attacked Comey and the intelligence community, accusing it of leaking an unverified dossier alleging Russia had compromising information on Trump.

The president also thanked the law enforcement officers for doing such a good job during his inauguration.

He said the event had been “such a success, a safety success.”

Trump went to the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters on Saturday, where he blasted reporters and affirmed his support for the nation’s intelligence agencies.

On Sunday, he tweeted that he had a “great” meeting at the CIA headquarters with “amazing people,” calling it a “win.”
