Trump to meet with congressional leaders Monday: report
Congress’s top lawmakers from both parties will head to the White House on Monday for their first meeting with President Trump, Politico reported Sunday evening.
{mosads}Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), along with the party whips, were invited to the meeting, according to the report.
The slated gathering comes as Trump begins his first week in office and Republicans in Congress pursue the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.
