Trump blasts Flake as ‘weak on crime and border’
President Trump on Wednesday attacked Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake by name, accusing his fellow Republican of being “weak on crime & border.”
Trump escalated his feud with one of his toughest GOP critics one night after he went after the senator at a raucous rally in his home state.
“Phoenix crowd last night was amazing — a packed house. I love the Great State of Arizona. Not a fan of Jeff Flake, weak on crime & border!” Trump tweeted.
{mosads}During the rally, Trump didn’t mention Flake by name but clearly voiced his displeasure with the Republican, who faces reelection next year.
“Nobody wants me to talk about your other senator, who is weak on border [security], weak on crime, so I won’t talk about him,” he said.
