Trump: ‘Liddle Adam Schiff’ finally right in blaming Obama for Russian meddling

President Trump on Sunday said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who “is now blaming the Obama Administration for Russian meddling in the 2016 Election,” is “finally right about something.”

“Finally, Liddle’ Adam Schiff, the leakin’ monster of no control, is now blaming the Obama Administration for Russian meddling in the 2016 Election,” Trump wrote on Twitter

“He is finally right about something. Obama was President, knew of the threat, and did nothing. Thank you Adam!”

The tweet appears to be a reference Schiff’s recent comments to NBC News.

“We should have called them out much earlier,” Schiff said, referring to Russia’s cyber campaign during the presidential campaign. “While I respect the motive in terms of the Obama administration, they didn’t want to be seen as meddling, the American people had a right to know what was going on and could be trusted to do the right thing with it. And they should have defended being more public and aggressive at the time, at least in my view.” {mosads}

Trump, who has slammed Schiff as a leaker before, also argued the House Democrat may be placing blame on Obama as an excuse for Democrats’ loss in 2016.

“Now that Adam Schiff is starting to blame President Obama for Russian meddling in the election, he is probably doing so as yet another excuse that the Democrats, lead by their fearless leader, Crooked Hillary Clinton, lost the 2016 election,” Trump said.

“But wasn’t I a great candidate?”

The president has previously argued that Russia’s attempts to meddle in the U.S. election is an excuse Democrats use for their loss in the election.

The Sunday tweets from the president come after the Justice Department last week announced charges against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups as part of the special counsel’s probe into Russia’s election interference.
