Time envisions Trump welcoming young, crying immigrant on cover: ‘Welcome to America’
The latest cover of Time magazine features an image of President Trump and a crying young girl who was separated from her mother at the southern border.
“Welcome to America,” the headline reads.
{mosads}The image of the 2-year-old girl from Honduras went viral amid the separations of undocumented children from their families due to the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy.
It was on June 12 when this two-year-old Honduran asylum-seeker was photographed by @jbmoorephoto, crying as her mother was detained near the U.S.-Mexico border. Nine days later—her image having helped force a president’s hand—she’s on the cover of TIME. https://t.co/DAtIpMoUUK pic.twitter.com/k3FRvqWpUw

Trump signed an executive order Wednesday to end the practice of separating families after widespread criticism over the practice.
Time in its previous edition depicted Trump on its cover as a king.
“Am I on the cover again this week? Boy, have I — so many covers,” Trump said of that cover at a press conference earlier this month.
