Three women accuse Weinstein of rape: report

Three women have reportedly accused Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein of rape.

The New Yorker reported Tuesday that actress Asia Argento and former aspiring actress Lucia Evans, along with a third woman, said Weinstein had raped them.

Four other women told the publication they had experienced unwanted touching.

{mosads}The New Yorker reported that 13 women had said that they had been sexually harassed or assaulted by Weinstein between the 1990s and 2015.

According to the publication, 16 former and current executives and assistants at Weinstein’s companies said they had seen or known about reports of unwanted sexual advances.

Weinstein was terminated from his position as co-chairman of The Weinstein Company over the weekend after allegations of sexual harassment against him were revealed in a New York Times story.

Democratic lawmakers quickly distanced themselves from Weinstein, a major Democratic donor, after the Times report.

Nearly a dozen senators, including Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), said they would donate Weinstein’s contributions to their campaigns to nonprofits that advocate for women who are survivors of sexual abuse.
