Watch live: Lawmakers gather for McCain funeral in DC
Lawmakers and a smattering of public figures are gathering at the Washington National Cathedral on Saturday morning for the funeral service for the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
Former Presidents George W. Bush and Obama are expected to deliver eulogies Saturday. President Trump was not invited to the service, but his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are in attendance.
McCain’s funeral on Saturday comes a day after thousands of people showed up to pay respects to the longtime senator as his flag-draped casket lay in state in the Capitol Rotunda on Friday.
