Navy jet believed to have crashed in Tennessee: report
A U.S. Navy jet is believed to have crashed in Tennessee, Navy officials said Sunday night.
A Navy official told Fox News that a T-45 jet was missing after taking off from Mississippi earlier Sunday. An instructor and student pilot were on board and it appears unlikely the crew survived.
The Monroe County’s Sheriff’s Office said the jet crashed in the Cherokee National Forest, and the Navy said in a tweet Sunday that it was “investigating reports of crash.”

The T-45 jet is used to train Navy students on how to pilot jet aircraft.
