Obama to push climate resilience at local levels
President Obama plans to announce this week new executive actions the administration will take to support state, local and tribal leaders in preparing for climate change.
{mosads}In line with his “year of action” plan, Obama will meet with leaders from the White House Climate Task Force on Preparedness and Resilience Wednesday to discuss the new measures, according to a White House official.
The executive actions are expected to help communities better prepare their electricity systems and infrastructure for the impacts of climate change, the White House official said.
The efforts to be announced Wednesday are the latest in a number of initiatives Obama has unveiled this year to combat climate change, which is a key part of his second term legacy.
