Matt Dornic

Whether he’s building and selling his own business, circuit training at the gym or skiing moguls, Matt Dornic prides himself on his competitive nature.

{mosads}“I think everyone in Washington is that way in some regard,” said Dornic, CNN’s vice president of communications. “My job might be in public relations, but I still have the heart of a reporter.”

After working as a journalist and freelancing for several D.C.-based outlets, Dornic moved into communications. In 2007, he sold the public relations company he founded to a major Washington firm.

With CNN since 2011, Dornic says he’s “completely fulfilled” professionally.

Outside of work, Dornic sates his competitive spirit through alpine skiing with his boyfriend, who turned him on to the sport.
