Tim Torres
A lot has changed, but much has also stayed the same for Tim Torres since he first made The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful list in 2011. While Torres still does IT for the House Energy Committee, he has also begun two big projects: opening a business and helping to start a nonprofit.
{mosads}Mercy Kids Africa is the charity, which partners with an African orphanage.
“Every year, I lead a team to Zambia through my church,” Torres said. “There was a financial need at the orphanage. There are about 30 to 40 kids who lost their family to HIV and AIDS.”
Torres’s business is a barre fitness studio called The Dailey Method, which is poised to open on D.C.’s U Street in August.
“I’ve done barre a number of times, and it always kicks my butt,” Torres explained. “The women in the class are definitely tougher than I am.”
