Obama to sign last bill sponsored by Giffords on Friday
{mosads}The bill is aimed at reducing drug trafficking along the U.S. borders with Mexico and Canada. The legislation passed by a voice vote in the Senate and by a wide margin, 408-0 in the House.
In early 2011, Giffords was shot in the head during a shooting rampage at a constituent event in Tuscon, Ariz. Last month, Giffords announced that she was stepping down from her congressional seat to continue her recovery. Since the shooting doctors have praised Giffords’s progress as remarkable.
