Jon Bruning touts his record as attorney general in new Nebraska ad

Bruning touts a Medicaid fraud unit he created to root out waste, and said $45 million has already been recovered.

“I’m running for Senate to put an end to Washington’s gimmicks,” he says.

{mosads}All three of the Republicans vying for the nomination to replace retiring Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) have already been on the air, as has former Sen. Bob Kerrey (Neb.), the Democratic recruit for the seat.

Outside conservative groups including the Club for Growth and Sen. Jim DeMint’s (R-S.C.) Senate Conservatives Fund have also taken sides in the GOP primary, airing ads supporting Bruning’s main opponent, state Treasurer Don Stenberg (R).
