Pro-Romney super-PAC launches $2.2 million ad buy
The ad will run on a $1.2 million buy in Michigan and $1 million in Wisconsin for a week. It features a girl who was only a year old when Obama was inaugurated and has grown up during the Obama administration, and asks the question “Is her future getting better?”
The ad says that America “is experiencing the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression,” and adds that if the unemployment rate included those who dropped out of the workforce or have stopped looking, it would be at 19 percent.
“Obama has added more debt than the first 41 presidents combined. Is America going forward? Or backward?” it asks.
It’s the second buy from Restore Our Future in Wisconsin and Michigan in two weeks, and it comes even as Obama maintains a stable lead in the polls of both states. Republicans are hoping to keep them, and a handful of other battleground states in which they expect the presidency to be won, in play until November.
