Rep. Brown suggests Lifetime viewing
{mosads}Brown tweeted the suggestion on Wednesday, telling her Twitter followers that the movie “tells the story of an American woman I helped free from prison in Ecuador.”
The Lifetime Movie Network will air the made-for-TV film “Left to Die” on Friday, according to The Florida Times-Union. The movie is a fictionalized version of the true story of Sandra Chase, an American woman jailed on false drug trafficking charges during a vacation trip to Ecuador in 1995. Brown aided in her eventual release in 1997.
Brown is portrayed in the film by actress Charlene Hyatt. It also stars Emmy–winning actress Barbara Hershey as the wrongly imprisoned American and Rachael Leigh Cook as her daughter.
