Bush gives Obama colorful socks

Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush were at the White House on Monday as Obama paid tribute to the former president’s work encouraging community service.
Obama hosted a ceremony commemorating the 5,000th Point of Light Award from the nonprofit Bush founded in 1990 to promote volunteerism and unveiled new administration initiatives to promote national service.
{mosads}Obama praised the former president for his efforts.
“Our country’s a better and stronger force for good … and for that we thank President Bush and his better half, Barbara, who is just as committed,” said Obama.
“We are surely a kinder and gentler nation because of you, and we can’t thank you enough.”
Bush’s foundation includes more than 4 million volunteers who contribute more than 30 million hours of service a year, according to the White House.
