New book reveals more messages from Weiner sexting scandal
Weinergate just got grosser.
A report in the U.K.’s Daily Mail describes previously unreleased text messages that former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) purportedly sent to a woman who claims she was a part of the “sexting” scandal that forced the congressman out of office.
{mosads}The messages, sent by Weiner to former Georgia cheerleading coach Traci Nobles, are set to be included in Nobles’s upcoming tell-all, “I Friended You.”
In the texts obtained by the paper, Weiner describes the strains on his marriage with wife Huma Abedin. The New York Democrat, who’s Jewish, wrote that he was “never accepted” by Abedin’s parents, telling Nobles that his in-laws “believe I should be Muslim or convert … it makes for a lot of uncomfortable meetings.”
Then the exchanges take a turn for the gutter.
The disgraced former congressman alludes to pleasuring himself in the bathroom before going out on the House floor. Another text compares Nobles’s genitalia to that of his wife.
Weiner resigned in June. Republican Bob Turner won a special election last month for Weiner’s House seat. Abedin is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
