Sen. Scott Brown wins date with Wonder Woman

That’s because Brown just scored a get-together with a lady who knows a thing or two about battling her opponents: Wonder Woman. Or at least the gal who played the satin tights-wearing superhero in the 1970s TV show, Lynda Carter.

{mosads}Brown is paying a pretty penny for a sit-down with the television star. He won the meeting with Carter, who lives in the Washington area, by bidding $1,000 to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure last week at the D.C.’s Funniest Celebrity charity event.

The lawmaker, 52, plans to bring his wife, Gail Huff, and one of his daughters along to get up close with Carter, saying, “We’ve always wanted to meet her.”

And ahead of his upcoming outing with Wonder Woman herself, Brown has high praise for the actress, known for her expert use of her character’s bullet-deflecting bracelets and golden lasso, calling Carter “a living legend.”

We’re thinking all the buttering-up from Brown might be because any senator likely doesn’t want to get on Wonder Woman’s bad side — that golden lasso can be pretty formidable!
