Republican joins air war in Oregon special House race
{mosads}The ad released by the Cornilles campaign starts with his wife, Allison, talking about her family and concerns that her three sons will be unable to find work.
“As a small business owner who has created jobs, I know what it takes to move this economy and give people a brighter future,” Rob Cornilles says in the ad.
It refers viewers to a website touting the candidate’s commitment to oppose efforts to privatize entitlements, eliminate loopholes and phase in a balanced-budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
But the ad makes no mention of the fact that Cornilles is a Republican — a strategic move in a district that President Obama won by 25 points in 2008.
