The best thing is President Obama. The worst thing is the fiscal crisis facing the nation.

What did you want to be when you were young?
I wanted to be an educator, a car racer, a basketball player.

Who is your favorite lawmaker of the opposite party?
I have a lot of friends on the other side, but [Minority Leader Rep. John] Boehner’s (Ohio) a good guy.

What vote would you like to re-do?
I’m comfortable with all my votes over 14 years.

Philadelphia.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Golf.

What household chore do you dislike?
Cleaning up after my dog Scout, a Shiloh Shepherd.

I try to harmonize my life with the precept of God. Walk humbly, love mercy, do justice.
