Scott Brown forgets he’s in New Hampshire
Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R) appeared to forget what state he was in on Thursday amid frequent trips to New Hampshire to explore a Senate run.
Speaking after a visit with a local Republican group in New Hampshire, Brown mistook his location for his home state of Massachusetts.
{mosads}”What I’ve heard from the Republicans up here is they’re thankful that I’ve been around for a year helping them raise money, helping them raise awareness as to the issues that are affecting not only people here in Massachusetts — I mean New Hampshire — but also in Massachusetts obviously, and Maine,” Scott said, according to video released by the Democratic super-PAC American Bridge.
He added: “I’ve been to Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut. I’ve been all over the New England certainly talking and helping people raise money.”
Brown is in the process of selling his house in Massachusetts and has been exploring a Senate bid in New Hampshire against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D). He said, according to the Londonderry Patch, that he’s “in no hurry” to decide on a potential run.
“I don’t think anything’s off the table at this point,” he said.
“I’m in no hurry, there’s no timetable,” he added, noting that the filing deadline isn’t till June of next year. “There’s no pressure.”
He did take the opportunity to knock Shaheen, however.
“She really needs to start explaining to people why she was the deciding vote to pass ObamaCare,” he said.
