SNL mocks Obama selfie, interpreter
“Saturday Night Live” took aim at the controversies surrounding President Obama’s appearance last week at a memorial service for anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela in South Africa.
The show’s opening mocked the president’s selfie, taken with Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt and British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Thamsanqa Jantjie, a sign language interpreter who used fake hand gestures later claimed he suffered from schizophrenia, was also spoofed.
