Postal worker fired for Guard service reinstated
A postal clerk fired nearly 14 years ago over missing too much work while on active duty with the Army National Guard was ordered to be re-instated, Federal Times reports.
{mosads}The Merit Systems Protection Board ruled that the U.S. Postal Service must re-instate Richard Erickson, after he was fired in 2000 for excessive military leave.
Erickson could receive as much as $2 million in back pay, legal fees and other damages in the case, which dates back to 2006, his attorney, Matthew Estes, told the Times.
