Former Christie, McCrory staffer heads to FP1 Strategies
Republican strategist Ricky Diaz is joining FP1 Strategies, a major GOP government and political firm.
Diaz, who served as North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory’s (R) campaign spokesman in 2012 and most recently served as communications director for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, will join the firm as a vice president.

Diaz is also a veteran of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s (R) administration, having served as his director of media affairs, and was Sen. Richard Burr’s (R-N.C.) campaign communications director in 2010. He’ll focus on advertising campaigns in his new role.
