Bentivolio sued by ex-campaign manager
Rep. Kerry Bentivolio’s (R-Mich.) former campaign manager is suing him, claiming he’s owed more than $150,000.
{mosads}Attorney Robert Dindoffer, who ran Bentivolio’s 2012 campaign, filed the lawsuit earlier this week, according to a court filing.
The freshman Bentivolio won his seat after former Rep. Thad McCotter (R-Mich.) failed to qualify for the ballot in 2012. Dubbed the “accidental congressman” because of his luck in the primary, he’s facing a tough challenge this time from businessman Dave Trott in the GOP race.
Bentivolio spokesman Matt Chisholm told MLive.com that the lawsuit was a “contractual dispute” and declined to further discuss it.
