Jimmy Fallon mocks Scott Brown

NBC’s “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon made fun of potential New Hampshire Senate candidate Scott Brown Tuesday night because of a comment he made in an interview this week.

The Associated Press asked Brown if he had the best credentials to run for the Senate again.

“Do I have the best credentials? Probably not. ‘Cause, you know, whatever. But I have long and strong ties to this state,” Brown replied.

Fallon decided to make fun of Brown’s use of “whatever.”

In his opening monologue, the comedian unveiled several fake campaign slogans for Brown that would reflect that language.

“I’m Scott Brown. If you have time, vote for me. But if not, that’s cool. #TotesCool,” one said.

“Scott Brown for Senate. Or Whoever. Whatever. Forever,” the second slogan said.

The third: “Hey Sup?”

On Wednesday, Brown told Fallon that he appreciated the recommendations on Twitter.

Earlier this month, Brown announced he established an exploratory committee to weigh another run for Senate, but this time in New Hampshire.

Brown represented Massachusetts in the Senate from 2010 to 2013. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Ma.) defeated him in a highly competitive race in 2012.

If he decides to jump into the New Hampshire race, Brown would challenge incumbent Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), who has served in the Senate since 2009.
