Apple adds Wyden staffer to lobbying team
Apple has hired a senior aide to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) as the newest addition to its lobbying team.
Kristin Smith started at the tech giant this month, according to her LinkedIn profile and records kept by Legistorm, a congressional research website.
{mosads}Smith worked on Capitol Hill for two years, beginning as a staff assistant for former Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) before moving to the financial services panel that Baucus led before being appointed as the U.S. ambassador to China.
Wyden took over as the panel’s chairman when Baucus resigned in February.
Apple did not return requests for comment.
