Podesta: Hillary ‘disciplined, determined’

White House adviser John Podesta said Friday there are many similarities between President Obama and his former bosses, the Clintons.

As Hillary Clinton eyes another run for president, Podesta predicted she would be a dedicated commander in chief and work to help the middle class if elected.

{mosads}Now top adviser to President Obama, Podesta previously served as former President Bill Clinton’s chief of staff and president of the Center for American Progress.

Asked specifically by reporters at the Christian Science Monitor breakfast to come up with three words to describe the former first lady, Podesta called her “disciplined, tough and determined.”

Podesta also predicted that a President Hillary Clinton would “Get up every day … and go to the Oval Office and think ‘What can I do to help the middle class and help working people?’ ”

That’s a trait, he said, shared by both the current president and Bill Clinton.

“People bring their own personalities, their own talents to the job,” Podesta said. “One thing that the three of them share is, I think, purpose of the job, which is that their primary duty is to ensure that everybody has opportunities. That’s what motivated all three of them.”
