Schumer makes good on Stanley Cup bet
SPOTTED: Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) making good on a bicoastal wager on the outcome of the NHL Stanley Cup finals between the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings.
The lawmakers had bet beer and snacks from their respective home states that their teams would come out on top. The Kings ended up taking home the Stanley Cup earlier this month for the second time in three years.
{mosads}On Tuesday, Schumer presented his Senate colleague with Brooklyn Lager beer and pretzels from outside Madison Square Garden.
We hear Boxer pointed out to Schumer that the pretzels were not salted, and that the senator from the Empire State failed to bring mustard to accompany them. She attempted to give a Kings hat to Schumer, but he resisted donning the headwear.
