Sen. Booker rules out a Biden-Booker 2016 ticket

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) on Wednesday appeared to rule out the possibility of being a running mate for Vice President Joe Biden if he were to run for president and win the Democratic nomination in 2016.

Someone tweeted at Booker asking whether he would see a Biden-Booker 2016 ticket.

Booker said unless the ticket is for a poetry slam at Rutgers University, then “no,” adding that Biden “rocks at Spoken Word.”

Booker, 45, was elected to the Senate last year in a special election to replace the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.Y.).

While Biden has hinted at a potential presidential campaign in 2016, Hillary Clinton is largely considered the Democratic frontrunner if she decides to run.
